Botanical Beauty in a Bottle - Make Your Own Nourishing Face Oil.

Most of the time I make soaps and creams thinking about what other people may like. Today, I decided to treat myself and make my own luxury face oil. I added specific ingredients that are nutrient rich and will help improve my skin texture.
I started by looking up some of the ingredients in my favourite skin oils I have used from shops and whittled them down to a blend I'm quite proud of. But there is no fun in keeping these little wins for myself, so I will share with you the recipe I created today.

Ingredients make 30ml:
Avocado Oil 10ml
Avocado oil is deeply nourishing and full of vitamins A, D &E.
Rosehip Oil 8ml
Regenerating, great for scars & fine lines.
Macadamia Oil 6ml
Softening and deeply moisturising.
Jojoba Oil 5ml
An antioxidant and extends shelf life.
Vitamin E Oil 10 drops
It's an antioxidant and increases shelf life.
Essential Oils of Sweet Orange, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine absolute.
Method:
Sterilise the glass dropper bottle with boiling water and let it dry.
Add all the carrier oils first: avocado, rosehip, macadamia, and jojoba.
Add vitamin E
Add essential oils drop by drop.
I used: Sweet Orange - 4 drops
Ylang ylang - 3 drops
Jasmine - 4 drops.
Cap the bottle and swirl gently to mix. Label with your chosen name.
Please note: You are not restricted to this number of drops per essential oil. You can tweak the scent according to your preferences. Sweet Orange is uplifting, jasmine adds luxury and ylang ylang is floral and balancing.
The shelf life is 6 months if it is stored in a cool, dry place.
This nourishing little bottle is proof that you don’t need a luxury price tag to enjoy beautiful, botanical skincare. With a few simple ingredients, you can craft something just as divine, with the added magic of knowing exactly what’s inside.
